Eco-Teens — README

Eco-Teens is a school partnership project for ages 10–14. It combines the E-Climate Game (40 mini-games across four modules: Air, Water, Soil, Glaciers) with a Classroom Activity E-Book (lesson plans, printables, rubrics). All materials are open access and designed for quick classroom adoption (45–90 minutes), including low-tech/offline options.

What’s included

How to use in class (45–90 min)

  1. Warm-up (See/Think/Wonder) with a short video or image.
  2. Play 2–3 mini-games from the chosen module in pairs; use the Game Reflection sheet.
  3. Connect game ↔ science with a quick concept map discussion.
  4. Create a 1-minute action pitch or 1-page infographic (use the rubric).
  5. Exit ticket (3 questions) or brief pre/post check for evidence.

Licensing & data protection

Unless noted otherwise, teaching materials are released under CC BY 4.0. Game source code uses an OSI-approved licence (e.g., MIT/Apache-2.0). Third-party assets remain under their original licences. No personal data is published; classroom images are consented or anonymised (GDPR-compliant).
